This detail of Burgess Falls State Park, in Cookeville, TN, was taken on a beautiful summer day. Such a beautiful day, that I thought I would walk up the stream, through the stream for a good distance. This worked well, in fact, I was laughing at another hiker stumbling through the brush to my side…
Then I stepped into a small dropoff in the water – just small enough to soak me up to my waist. Then it was the other hiker’s turn to laugh.
